THE PEOPLE'S COURT

We were there when the first gavel dropped.

For more than two decades, The People’s Court has been meting out justice, TV-style.  Debuting in 1981, the reality-based court show introduced a whole new genre of programming that gave rise to numerous imitators, but no equals.  Retired Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joseph A. Wapner presided over the initial half-hour show, which ran five days a week for 12 seasons under the Ralph Edwards/Stu Billett Productions banner.
